Catherine Fitzgerald

Catherine Fitzgerald was an elementary educator for twenty-two years before her recent retirement. She earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a master’s degree in children’s writing from the College of St. Catherine. Her goal has always been to help young writers find their voice by encouraging them to write about topics they know and love. Catherine is now pursuing her own passion for writing. Her favorite topic? Her Jack Russell Terrier, Maggie, who has supplied her an endless number of adventures to write about.

Catherine lives in Michigan with her husband. She has three grown children, a cat named Chewbacca and, of course, her beloved Jack Russell Terrier Maggie. She enjoys reading, writing, golfing and knitting.
