Born in South Africa, educated in England and Wales, and now living in God’s own Country of Wales with his family, Sean was previously a Squadron Leader in the RAF and a GP, before retraining as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist serving the people of the South Wales Valleys.
Sean has been a doctor for over 30 years and his experience varies from treating NHS cancer patients to helping out labouring women / communities in Uganda, to facilitating IVF treatments for infertile couples.
Sean’s writing contrasts with serious self-help books, such as “Infertility, IVF and Miscarriage”, to riotous fictional accounts of medical humour such as “Medics, Minis and Mayhem” (previously entitled, Diary of a Gynaecologist), and its sequel “Hospital Blues”.
Sean has also written a series of children’s books which have been beautifully illustrated by Vanessa Williams. The aim of these is to get kids reading with suitably disgusting (all kids seem to be intrigued by Bogeys and bodily habits!) “The Best Ever Bogey Book”, “The Best Ever Belcher Book”. Also, it is the aim of their other children’s’ books to promote a spirit of generosity and kindness with books like “A Mutt Called Bo” and “Bernie the Christmas Spirit.
He lives in the magical land of Wales, with his long suffering wife of 25 years! Has three children and a golden Labrador called Beano.
