Shane Moore is passionate about finding the most effective ways to live a healthy, happy life and helping others do the same. Despite living a healthy lifestyle, a diagnosis of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma inspired Shane to make changes in all aspects of her life and she continues to find ways to feel, move, eat and live better.
After returning to school in 2008 to complete a massage therapy course which sparked a major career change in 2011, Shane was introduced to the John F Barnes’ Approach to Myofascial Release and immediately knew she had found her true purpose. She recently published a book called A User’s Guide to the Human Body, a compilation of some of her knowledge and experience with JFB-MFR and how it affects the emotional, mental, physical and spiritual aspects of the human experience. Her passion is sharing with others the knowledge that we can heal ourselves and how to do it!
Her current project is the Feel Better Now!© self-treatment program designed to teach people the basic techniques to begin their self-healing journey. Shane was inspired to create this program after having worked in the Ontario Corrections system. Seeing the effects of unresolved trauma on people’s behavior, in both staff and inmates, made her realize there had to be a better way to address this problem. Once she learned not only that it’s possible to heal trauma but that it doesn’t have to be difficult to heal it, Feel Better Now!© was born and her mission is to share it with the world!
