J. Walton is well-suited to write a book on joy. Born with cerebral palsy, she has had to fight for every ounce of joy she has obtained and has not allowed the disease to define or prevent her from living her best life. Born in Texas, and raised in Northern California, she eventually moved back to her WestTexas roots in her mid-twenties.
While in Texas, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin, and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Stephen F. Austin University. She has worked for the Texas Rehabilitation Commission and on her family ranch.
Over her lifetime, she has traveled to several countries and more than thirty states. Her favorite adrenaline rushes include zip-lining, skiing and parasailing with friends and family. Coloring Outside the Lines is her first book with plans to write many more.
