Beverley Kane, MD

Beverley Kane, MD, is Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Stanford. She is Program Director for Stanford Equine-imity and Stanford Medicine and Horsemanship, which teaches communication, teamwork, leadership, and self-care to medical students and healthcare professionals. She is also the course director and instructor for Stanford Medical Tai Chi, which includes the teaching of scientific experimentation methodologies, the study of the peer-reviewed research in tai ji, and the practice of tai ji and qigong.

In 2004, she established her private practice, Horsensei Equine-Assisted Learning & THerapy (HEALTH) www.horsensei.com

She is a Certified Horsemanship Association Level 1 riding instructor and is previously certified to Level III in EAGALA (Equine-Assisted Growth and Learning Association), of which she is a Life Member. She is additionally a member of PATH (Professional Association for Therapeutic Horsemanship), International, and the Tai Chi for Health Institute, where she certified with Dr. Paul Lam in Tai Chi for Energy.

She works and plays with her horse, Serena, and with the 100-horse lesson herd at a 250-acre ranch on the San Francisco Peninsula, where she lives with her husband, R., and tortie cat, Kushami, and tuxie cat, Shénah.
