I D Atkinson is a British author.

Encouraged by winning a national creative writing competition aged 11, they continued writing into adulthood, won some more awards and went on to have several successful books published. But The Sparks In My Skull is the first novel under this name.

They are a big fan of young adult fiction, especially dystopian and magical realism stories. They love animals, sourdough toast and good coffee. They hate January, queuing and single-use plastic. They live in Bristol but dream of Patagonia.
