Sally Nex

Sally Nex is an award-winning garden writer and professional gardener based in Somerset, UK. She writes, teaches and gives talks on veg growing, self-sufficiency and sustainable gardening, and is a regular contributor for BBC Gardeners' World magazine, the RHS journal The Garden, Telegraph Gardening and Grow Your Own magazine. Her series of monthly columns on gardening without plastic for The Garden won the Garden Media Guild's Beth Chatto Environmental Award in 2019. She's also qualified in horticulture to RHS Level 3 and has a diploma in planting design. Her first career was as a broadcast journalist for the BBC, working for World Service radio and TV as well as Radio Four news and the Nine O'Clock News on BBC1.
