I write YA fantasy because the stories in my head eventually got tired of waiting their turn.

I've called several corners of the Southeast home before settling in Texas, picking up a little bit of every place along the way. Family, friendship, loyalty, and the people willing to stand beside you when everything goes sideways are at the heart of every story I tell.

I've been hooked on books for as long as I can remember. Classics, fantasy, adventure—if it had a good story, I was in. Somewhere along the way, I realized reading other people's adventures wasn't enough. It was time to start writing my own.

I earned a BA in English from Belhaven College in Jackson, Mississippi. Then I promptly ignored it while spending years selling fishing lures. Eventually, the voices, especially those of dragons, rattling around in my head became too loud to ignore.

Now I spend my time creating worlds worth getting lost in. And I'm always trying to convince readers that "just one more chapter" is a perfectly reasonable life choice.
