Mohammad Noori

Noori is a professor of Mechanical Engineering at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, a Fellow of the ASME and a recipient of the Japan Society for Promotion of Science Fellowship. He has authored over 250 refereed papers, 6 books, edited 25 technical volumes, has supervised over 90 graduate students and post-doc scholars, has presented over 100 keynotes and invited talks, is the executive editor of an international journal and is a member of several editorial boards. He has been a visiting professor at highly ranked global universities, and directed the Sensors Program at the NSF in 2014. Noori was a Chair professor and department head at two major universities, served as the dean of engineering at Cal Poly, and was the Chair of the national committee of mechanical engineering department heads. Noori one of 7 co-founders of the National Institute of Aerospace, in 2002. He is a member of Sigma Xi, Pi Tau Sigma, Chi-Epsilon, and Sigma Mu Epsilon honorary societies. He has received numerous teaching and scholarship awards and in 1996 was invited by President Clinton's Special Commission on Critical Infrastructure Protection and presented a testimony as a national expert.
