Mr Colin Hoad

Colin Hoad, Founder & Chief Instructor at CAT Driver Training, has spent over 45 years in the specialist motor industry. Interested in cars from 8 years old, Jackie Stewart & Niki Lauda were his heroes, with race cars in magazines or a Porsche on the road stirring his soul. Motor racing at the age of 18 (when an Apprentice with the jet engine division of Rolls Royce), he enjoyed a rewarding career in motorsport preparation & management with Porsche, Ferrari & Morgan specialists, Autofarm, DK Engineering & Libra Motive. He then moved to the vehicle evaluation & driver training industry with a major Japanese motor manufacturer.

After 31 years in the world of engineering & motorsport, CAT Driver Training started in 2005. Teaching industry standard advanced driving techniques both on the road & Proving Ground, bespoke dynamic training is tailored to all aspects of driving: Road, Track, Race & the Motor Industry. A unique knowledge combination bringing together all 4 disciplines only found at CAT.
