Tam is a creative and technical writer with her works touching on themes of self-love and perseverance. Tam relocated to Jackson, Mississippi from Emeryville, California in December 2010. She wrote a letter to the editor at the Clarion Ledger in May 2011. That letter was publicly featured and became the stepping stone to journalism. Tam began working at Jackson Free Press and Boom Magazine (JFP's sister company) in December 2011, learning the ins and outs of journalism, from writing press releases to using InDesign to edit news articles. Tam credits the Clarion Ledger, Jackson Free Press and Boom Magazine for influencing her skills as a copy editor, writer and self-published author.
With a diverse background, Tam works as a Sr. Civil Rights Specialist who investigates EEO, ADA and Title VI claims. Tam's experience as a compliance and investigative professional span back to 2007 and gives her unique insights into the intersection of law, justice, and human rights. Her versatile experience enables her to craft stories that resonate with readers of all ages while maintaining a high standard of integrity in her writing and editing.
Tam has published four (4) books and continues to broaden her audience reach. Tam is a Certified EEO Investigator, Mediator, Compliance Program Manager and Marketing Strategist who believes in understanding what people want, need and expect and delivering it to them.
