Chris Collier

Chris Collier (the chubby old author) and Campbell Collier (the lovely young illustrator) are a father-daughter team who have partnered to create The QuaranTina Stories.

When the Collier family decided to make use of time under quarantine to stretch their creative wings, Chris chose to try his hand at writing a series of stories featuring QuaranTina, a small girl with a big heart and an even bigger taste for magic and mystery, who is likewise living during the pandemic.

It was a fun exercise, but didn’t really come to life until one day, when Chris noticed Campbell doodling away on her phone (!) during a chapter reading. When he asked what she was doing, he was intrigued to find that she had been creating character sketches of QuaranTina, her awesome Grandma, and other scenes from the story... and delighted at how perfectly they conveyed the spirit of the stories.

That was the moment when QuaranTina was really born.
