Richard Rose

Richard Rose is a writer, researcher and children's rights advocate from the UK. He is the author of 14 books and more than 100 papers addressing issues related to the education of disadvantaged and marginalised children in addition to his works of fiction, drama and poetry. Richard works regularly in Asia on research and development projects and has visited India with this focus for more than twenty years. He has published widely in academic journals, literary magazines, anthologies and periodicals and is a regular presenter at national and international conferences.

His play "Letters to Lucia" written with fellow playwright James Vollmar received its first performance by the Triskellion Irish Theatre Company in 2018 and again in 2022. This drama, performed at the graveside of James Joyce's daughter Lucia Anna Joyce, recounts scenes from her life as told by her mother (Nora Barnacle Joyce) Irish Nobel Laureate Samuel Beckett, Kathleen Neel with whom she worked as a professional dancer, and her father James Joyce.
