Five years ago, I found I had a story to tell. After reading a John Grisham book about a writer struggling to write, the question was asked, "If not now, when?" That was the moment I decided it was time to tell my story. So, I started writing "Don't Whisper in My Ear." The original title was "What If," but I changed it to reflect a trigger in my life, "Children are to be seen and not heard." "Don't Whisper in My Ear" is a young adult - coming of age. It's a story about first times and hope for a first time her mother would be the mother she thought she should have.

Many people who read "Don't Whisper in My Ear" wanted more…they wanted a sequel. So, I wrote "Cactus Girls." "Cactus Girls" is a young adult wanderlust story. It's a story for any young daughter trying to figure out where her mother ends, and she begins. Although both books are fiction, they are heavily based on my young adult life. It took many years and many baby steps to get to where I am today, and I have arrived.
