I'm a retired Correctional officer who decided it was time to dust off that journalism degree and let people learn about all the astonishing things I saw, did and heard inside the walls of a California State Prison. Although I am a large specimen of the male species (6'5" & 255 lbs), it would be wrong to categorize me as a knuckle dragging brute. I am truly the gentle giant.

I've been a man of leisure since 2012 and it took me a couple of years to get the story tweaked just right to inform, entertain, enlighten and amuse the reader with the behavior of the Northern California convicted felon.

Since retiring, I love to travel (especially cruise but...Covid says no!) our country and planet, dabble in my yard, get out in my new kayak, hit the gym and walk the golf course. My two kids have graduated from college and have found jobs in their career field. Their mother and I are divorced but we remain friends.

I love most kinds of music especially smooth jazz, pop, electronic and oldies but moldies. Love movies from the 40s, 50s & 60s but a good movie is a good movie regardless of its' era. Love film noir! Italian, Mexican food are sooo tasty but a burger and fries must be ingested once in a while too.

Nothing beats good human interaction, conversation and I try to utilize those two things on the side of my head called ears! Listening is a lost art!
