Mirella grew up watching live theater performances and was always fascinated by the spoken and written word. She wrote her first poem, when she was a teenager, and she fell in love with literature and writing shortly thereafter. Hours at the library seemed to fly and finding that perfect word, she’s always tackled with a spirited dedication of Columbo or Sherlock Holmes.

Although life threw her many twists and turns along the way, she never lost her passion for writing and found solace and inspiration in reading, meeting people, watching films, and just observing the world around her. She has traveled quite extensively throughout the United Sates and Europe, lived in three countries and on two continents and learned to speak five languages, which gave her a deeper understanding and appreciation for diversity of cultures and lifestyles.

She wears many hats, and in the creative realm, she is a poet, writer, podcaster, and author of the new stage play, Waiting for Good. San Francisco Bay Area has been a wonderful place for her to raise a family, and she is grateful to be ever so close to the beloved stunning shores of the Pacific coastline.

Above all, she leads with curiosity and believes in lifelong learning and pursuing what you love, with passion and focus, regardless of your place on the timeline of life. With her writing, she aspires to spark creativity and expression in others, with hopes to influence the world to be a better place for all. She dedicated this book to her grandkids and being a part of their lives has been the shining light, she had always hoped to find.
