Mr. Paul D Clark

Paul Duane Clark writes books, which I suppose you probably already know by now, considering where you are.

Paul went to work for his dad when he was 16 to learn the family business, printing. His father owned a commercial print shop and newspaper in the San Diego area. It wasn’t long before he was running his own press, an A.B. Dick 360, just in case you wanted to know. Eventually buying out his dad, Paul ran the print shop for over 20 years.

After four years of nary a date in high school, he went to a church college group and met a young lady playing volleyball. On the trip home that night Paul told his best friend that he would marry her. He did! Of course there were a few obstacles to overcome, for instance, she was already engaged, but that’s another story. After a year, Eileen, the young lady, said, “Yes!” followed by “I do!” Somehow, after more than 40 years, 3 children, and 5 grandchildren, they’re still going strong.

During his years in San Diego, Paul attended the churches of John Maxwell, Tony Foglio and David Jeremiah. From those three men, and others, Paul’s faith grew. He and his wife’s ministry always revolved around children, youth group, Sunday School and AWANA. The latter of which, they worked in together for over 20 years. During his ministry years, God always had some sort of Christian character rolling around in the back of Paul’s mind. Never managing to bring him to life, Paul let him die off.

Eventually growing weary of the printing business, he sold it, packed up his wife and kids and moved to Prescot Arizona to work at a Christian camp. While there, he studied Greek to better understand Scripture, led several different types of bible studies, one of which led to his first attempt at writing, a study of the book of Acts. He titled it, “The Ultimate Acts”, not that he had a big head or anything! But after holding a copy of that first book, he was hooked.

Longing to write, Paul’s first attempt was rather dark. A book revolving around the fall of Satan and the daily battles that take place between his Demons and God’s Angels. He titled it, “From Heaven to Hell” and is longing for the day he can sit down and rework it into a more fun read.

After publishing Heaven to Hell, Paul decided it was finally time to create his Christian protagonist. Jake Coltrane was born...again! To date there are 3 entries in the Coltrane series, with a forth already underway, “Crusade”. In the works are several standalone novels rattling around in the back of his head. If God grants the time, maybe Paul will put them to paper.
