I'm a writer and poet from the Black Country - the misunderstood heartbeat of the industrial Midlands.

I write about what I see, and through my work in domestic and sexual violence I see the best and the worst in people and in society. Some of my poetry is written and performed in my local dialect. If you don't much like the Dudley/Black Country accent, you should know it's the closest we have to Medieval English and if it was good enough for Chaucer, it's good enough for me.

I like classic literature, history, art, yoga and swimming. I enjoy spending time in Paris where my creativity has opportunity to explode back into life. I live with my husband and a tiny cat who dominates our lives and rules us with an iron paw.
