N. Bryan Massey

Originally from Rochester, New York, N. Bryan Massey is an author, educator, and social entrepreneur known for developing young leaders across the Vegas Valley through his various educational programs. Known in the community as the Educated Thug, Massey is dedicated to (T)eaching the (H)ood (U)plifting (G)oals through professional development, asset orientation, guidance counseling, and much more. Quoting Malcom X, “education is our passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to the people who prepare for it today.” Massey’s writing career is characterized by his mission to ensure school readiness through literacy within urban communities. Currently enrolled in the master’s program for Early Childhood Education at UNLV, Massey continues to be an active member of academia, researching issues that affect the African Diaspora regarding head start education.

When not writing, Massey guests lectures, holds workshops, and host community events for the youth in Vegas. Donating thousands of filled backpacks, reading books, and suits ties, Massey is an avid leader in the community committed to uplifting, motivating, and inspiring students to cultivate a love of learning.
