Nakeasha Walker

Meet Nakeasha Walker, the Atlanta born, Grady baby who uses a multitude of avenues to create awareness about the effects of abuse, mental health issues, and poverty in her local community. When Nakeasha was 9-months-old, she was adopted. Her adoption played a pivotal role in her desire to be the voice to key issues addressed in her creative works. In was seemed to be a double-life, Nakeasha was the youngest of 12 adopted/foster children, and one of seven to her biological mother. Life was chaotic when she lived with her biological family, and very strict with her adoptive family. She encountered abuse in both settings, witnessing the harsh reality of mental health issues up-close. In later years, she would encounter near homelessness as a young mother. The dynamic of Nakeasha’s experiences provide a heartfelt, and personal, narrative to the content she shares with her audiences.

Influenced by the works of Tyler Perry, and the acting portrayals of Taraji P. Henson, Nakeasha has crafted unique productions. She uses her platform to rip off the band-aid of abuse to expose its true brutality, when it seems to be wrapped in politeness. God is her fire, her passion, and her motivator. She believes He speaks to her through her writing, providing her with vision, and the words necessary to bring them to life.
