Abby Turner Kuykendall is a newly married thirty-something who grew up in a home that taught her marriage is what happens after you graduate. But, after graduating from Ouachita Baptist University, she went to graduate school at Baylor—single—and mourned every sense of the word. That led her to discover the power of the table in building a flourishing, God-centered community.
Over the next 5 years, Abby lived in 6 states working in college athletics until finally finding her home in Bentonville, Arkansas at the Walmart Home Office. She began leading a team in marketing, where she developed her love of food, photography, and human behavior. This ultimately led her to begin her blog, A Table Top Affair.
While Abby found a stride in her career corporately, she found meaningful purpose around her table which led her to write her debut cookbook, The Living Table. What Kuykendall hears most from people is that hospitality is not their gift. She writes that it wasn’t hers either and believes that no matter where you are or who you are, hospitality is a discipline that we can cultivate to draw closer to God and build community.
Abby lives with her husband, Kyle, and their son John Maverick in Northwest Arkansas
