Martyn Amugen

Martyn Amugen is a philosophy lecturer based in S.E Asia who is the author of the Transcendental Unity of Religions, as well as the detective novel In the Eye of the Beholder. A keen interest in philosophy and aesthetics was the inspiration behind the creation of his fictional detective Lord John Penkarrow, a philosophically inclined wealthy aesthete. Who despite his material advantages often tends to view the world as illusory, an illusion from which he can only temporarily escape when he is solving crime. The author has written two more novels in this detective series, the Death of A Circus Oaf and the Penkarrow and the Affair of the Blue Diamond a fourth book is currently underway.
