Lisa F. Frankel began her writing career after she completed a Master’s degree in Public History at Arizona State University. Her research and writing focuses on community history with a special interest in Native American studies in the West. The Ralph H. Littge biography sent her research into an unexpected direction, but as an historian, she recognizes that every project opens the door to new ideas and knowledge. With the completion of this book she has returned to work two long term projects, the history of the John Woolman School and Quaker education in California, and the community history of the Nisenan Tribe Rancheria of Nevada City, California.
