I have been involved in special needs for over 30 years. I am a qualified teacher of the deaf/education audiologist. Besides my work within the sphere of hearing impairment I have worked with a range of other special needs. I developed an interesting in auditory processing difficulties as the difficulties they present within the mainstream setting are not dissimilar to those of a pupil with hearing impairment although of course there are some features which are diverse.

I still practice as a teacher of the deaf for two education authorities and carry out private work for children with APD. Work with colleges is also a feature of my private work
