Haimnauth Ramkirath

Haimnauth Ramkirath was born in the Republic of Guyana, perched at the very tip of South America. He grew up in a small village of rustic charm and beauty. He immersed himself in the fascination and beauty of the natural world. This abiding love for nature and life, in its complexity, mystery, and glory, is reflected in his poetry. Haimnauth feels that poetry has a vital role in lifting the human spirit, particularly in turbulent and uncertain times.

Haimnauth was a teacher for almost ten years at the secondary school level in Guyana. He came to the USA in 1991, where he worked his way to the Controller level.

Haimnauth Ramkirath is an ardent practitioner of meditation, yoga, and the ancient science of Ayurvedic healing. He is a motivational speaker and a vigorous campaigner for social justice and equality.
