At the tender age of 14, I experienced a tragic accident playing high school football, leaving me paralyzed from the neck down. Suddenly my high school glory days turned to temporary defeat. In my eyes temporary defeat does not mean permanent failure. Using the same determination and perseverance I had relied on as an athlete, I shifted my sights from an athletic career to one of serving others.
