Peter Newhouse

Dr. Peter Newhouse is a profound and gifted communicator and the author of two books and the co-author of three books. He is the CEO of Winning At Home, which is a non-profit organization that supports marriages and families through counseling and coaching services, speaking, community events and media resources. As CEO, he oversees all aspects of the organization’s operations including marketing, facilities, technology, and donor relations. Additionally, he ultimately directs the Winning At Home counseling center which he established in 2002 and a new coaching division that began in 2020. Under his guidance, the counseling and coaching staff has grown to over 25 professionals in three locations (Holland, Zeeland and Tampa Bay) offering services for children, adolescents and adults. He also developed the Winning At Home Corporate Counseling Program, giving him and other clinical staff the opportunity to be on site at several businesses throughout West Michigan.

He lectures and speaks in a variety of settings, including colleges, churches, mission conferences, the American Association of Christian Counselors World Conference and local businesses. His passion to support the work of missionaries and pastors has led him to serve as a consultant for Global Partners, a mission organization.

Peter has been married to his wife, Shawn Maree, for nearly 30 years. They live along the lakeshore in West Michigan and enjoy boating and many other outdoor activities as well learning and traveling together. They enjoy being a part of their adult children’s lives as they journey through each stage.
