Gloire Wanief

Gloire Wanief is a Congolese author born on June 02, 1996 in Pointe-Noire, the eldest of 10 siblings. As his parents were separated, he grew up with his mother in various Congolese towns, which gave him a taste for adventure and, above all, a love of difference and diversity.

In primary school, his mother enrolled him in a small library, which nurtured his love of reading and writing. As a teenager, he formed a rap group with his best friend, before moving on to slam.

To anchor himself in reality, he decided to study science in high school. After obtaining his Bac D in 2014, Gloire Wanief continued his studies in the Ivory Coast town of Yamoussoukro, which he abandoned in 2016 to devote himself to his new passion: entrepreneurship. With friends, he created an online boutique that went bankrupt in 2019. In 2018, he moves to Senegal to study architecture before calling it a day in 2021.

In 2017, Gloire Wanief published “Who's Dad?” his first novel with an Ivorian publishing house. This story, which he had started as a Facebook column and which had a certain success, was not to meet with the same success once published. Since 2019, he has been self-publishing and has published several other books.
