Ann Tisdale

Ann Tisdale is wife, mother, and passionate advocate for the disability community. She became interested in writing children's books when her youngest child, Maya, was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and she had a hard time finding books that featured characters with disabilities (where that wasn't the main plot). She wanted her daughter, and other children with disabilities, to grow up seeing themselves in the pages of books that were full of adventure and everyday fun. Ann hopes that this book helps open minds about what a person living with a disability is capable of, and encourages ALL kids to persevere when faced with challenges.
