Nancy S. Bishop is a Chicago native, writer and theater critic. She loves to write about all things Chicago, especially theater, books, music, art and architecture. Nancy is a member of the American Theatre Critics Association and a 2014 Fellow of the National Critics Institute at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center. She is co-founder, editor and publisher of Third Coast Review (thirdcoastreview.com), an online Chicago-centric arts and culture magazine. She publishes about 200 reviews and articles a year.
Nancy grew up on the far northwest side of Chicago and except for ventures into Missouri, Colorado, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Ohio and Kentucky, she has been a Chicago girl for most of her life. She holds a Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Missouri and a Master of Arts in communications from Northern Illinois University. She has two sons and four grandsons.
