Growing up in Hollywood, Marya found herself naturally gravitating to the film industry, where she worked as an actress for a number of years, as well as teaching acting in Los Angeles, Carmel and, eventually, in San Diego through UCSD Extension.

While searching to better understand man’s nature and her own, she found herself exploring the wisdom of many faiths and philosophies, taking from each the ideas that were the most inclusive and universal. In 1973, she was invited to share her insights into the universal laws and principles she had discovered. This led to her giving workshops and talks in Los Angeles, then in San Diego where she conducted year round weekly classes for over forty years. As her reputation grew, she was invited to give workshops and talks in cities throughout the United States, New York, Wilmington, Houston, Omaha and Lake Forrest to name a few.

In 2008 she was led to write a book on man’s evolving consciousness, entitled: "Consciousness, Awakening to our Divine Potential." "Consciousness" was followed by two young adult allegorical fantasies: "The Light of Rigel," in 2013 and "Awakening" in 2017.

Her latest book: "Creating Peace - Transforming Ourselves and the World", takes its readers on a profound life changing journey toward inner peace. It shows how our journey toward peace impacts the collective consciousnessis, helping mankind awaken to the transformative Love that lives at its core.
