Julie Edwards's love of literature was first kindled when her teacher shared stories with the class. Her favourite tales were C.S. Lewis's 'The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe' and 'The Secret Garden' by Frances Hodgson Burnett. She has always been fond of rhyming nonsense and was particularly inspired by Hilaire Belloc's popular poem about a boy who ran away from his nurse and was eaten by a lion. She has written several children's stories and completed four novels. Her first book, 'Meet me at The Funny Farm' was inspired by her mum's descent into Dementia and her subsequent death. She has two grown up children and lives with her husband and Labradors in the pretty village of Waddington, Lancashire.
