Neil William Townsend

Neil was born in London, and just after the age of five moved to Brussels with his parents. At 18 he moved back to the UK, where he has been based since, apart for a couple of years living and working in France.

Having studied engineering, got his doctorate, and seen some of his work be used in industry, he moved to follow his passion and call - he now leads Wantage Community Church in the UK and the OpenGate group of churches, which are part of the Salt and Light network. He is also part of the international team for The Turning. He is passionate about churches seeing breakthrough and transformation for the better in every person and situation around them.
