Timothy Oliver was born 4 February 1949 in Smithdown Road, Liverpool. He had an enchanted childhood amongst the luscious green rolling hills and vales of Montgomeryshire, mid-Wales, thanks to the abundant love from his adoptive parents, the Rev Oliver and Enid Hill; Oliver was one of the most enlightened people ever to walk this earth.
All this changed when this sensitive, romantic child went away to boarding school at the age of nine. He discovered resilience, survived and gained a degree in Economics from UCNW before qualifying as a chartered accountant with PMM/KPMG.
He soon headed for South America before landing up as financial controller of Club Caribbean, Runaway Bay, Jamaica, the best address he’s ever had.
He is proud to have shed blood playing rugby for Jamaica when they became Caribbean champions in Barbados and went on to captain Miami University for a season and lead Florida to victory over the southern states of America.
When Tim set out to discover the truth about his birth parents, he uncovered a fascinating history and found a new family - along with an exceptional father who couldn't be more different from the one who raised him.
Family means everything to him, and with his wife, Sue, he has three wonderful children and six grandchildren.
