Hi! I was born and raised in Illinois, but recently relocated to Florida. I am happily married with two great kids. I've been a scribbler all my life - poems, reviews, articles and essays - and I decided it was time to take the plunge into novels. I've worked in Corrections since 1993, so it's inevitable that my first novel, 2020's "Israfel Rising", was a suspense thriller about a serial killer who's recreating murders from Poe stories. The sequel, "Israfel Fallen", was released in early 2021. I'm currently working on my third novel, "The Eight Legs Of The Devil", and I'm researching a true crime book that I hope to write and publish in 2022. Beyond writing, I have a strangely diverse group of interests: giallo films, spaghetti westerns, classic horror and sci-fi, comedy (the odder the better), music, cryptozoology, unexplained phenomena, and backpacking.
