Steve Goodenough

Dr. Steven E. Goodenough is a pastor, author, teacher, and founder of 180 Perspective Ministries. With over three decades of ministry experience, Steven has helped many navigate the tension between biblical faith and everyday life. His writing flows from a deep conviction that believers often struggle not because of a lack of commitment, but because of a distorted view of themselves, God, and others.

Steven’s personal journey brought him face to face with the limitations of religious performance and the futility of trying to overcome sin through moral effort alone. After years of frustration, he discovered the freedom found in living a God-shaped life—one rooted in identity, purpose, and wholeness in Christ. Through prayer, study, and practical teaching, he now equips others to renew their minds and walk confidently as citizens of God’s Kingdom.

Whether teaching, speaking, or writing, Steven’s passion is to help believers live in the fullness of what God intended—free from shame, grounded in truth, and empowered to love others selflessly.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Religion, a Master of Arts in Theological Studies, a Master of Divinity in Homiletics, and a Doctor of Ministry in Practical Theology. Steven lives in Oregon with his wife, where he continues to write, minister, and develop resources that help others experience lasting transformation through the truth of Scripture.
