Clare Ward trained as a Speech and Language Therapist in the early nineties and since then has worked with adults and children with a wide range of learning and physical differences and disabilities in Health, Education and Social Services, mostly in London. She has also worked as a teaching assistant, researcher, teacher trainer, autism outreach worker, mentor, social worker and health team manager, supporting individuals, their families and their teachers.
Along with Jamie Galpin, Clare is part of Special Networks, a group of health and education professionals offering simple, sustainable support for all types of neurodiversity. Her work focuses mainly on helping young people manage social difficulties by developing their tolerance of uncertainty, in all its forms.
