Anthony C. Siracusa

A historian of modern America, Anthony is the incoming senior director of inclusive culture and initiatives at the University of Colorado at Boulder in the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Community Engagement. Working at the intersection of the community and the academy, Anthony has written extensively about nonviolence and the Black freedom movement. He teaches a variety of courses on African American history, religion, and politics in addition to community-based learning classes. He develops and administers projects and programs in partnership with communities beyond the campus to enhance student learning, collaborates with colleagues on campus to build inclusive culture, and co-creates university initiatives that deepen community impact. Anthony is a native of Memphis, Tennessee and lives in Colorado with his wife and their two dogs, Indy and Quoia.
