Vickie Remoe is the author of the first reader Adama Loves Akara. She is a TV Host and a mom who writes stories to make Sierra Leone famous. She was born in the coastal capital city of Freetown and emigrated to the US with her family at the age of 13. Remoe is a proud alumna of Haverford College and Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. She loves coffee, hula hooping with her son, and singing off-key.
