Nathaniel Thomas McGill

Nathaniel Thomas McGill, Nathan to his family, and Nate to his friends, is an American Documentary filmmaker that's best known for American Made Movie (2013). McGill has produced 15 feature documentary films in his career and 1 narrative feature, Dangerous Calling (2008.)

McGill is also a substance abuse and addiction recovery advocate, often writing from his own personal struggles with addiction.

Always vulnerable and open about his past, his written stories and speaking events have created safe environments where others can openly share their struggles without fear of judgement.

McGill has written two memoirs, "A Damn Mess" and "Back To One" where he shares life stories from his first 40 years on earth in the hopes that other creatives might avoid some of the same pitfalls that he struggled with early in his creative journey.

Today, Nathan works as a producer, writer and content creator in Buford, Georgia, where he focuses on hyper-local storytelling with Gwinnett Magazine.
