I am married to a wonderful man, Jerry. I have 2 precious daughters, Davis and Claudia . We live on Lake Murray near Columbia South Carolina. Spending time on the lake with my family, makes me smile.

I enjoy reading and writing. I love writing books for children. Creating books that will help to develop a passion for reading is my ultimate goal with every book!

I am currently a media specialist at Gallman Elementary School in Newberry South Carolina.. I began my career as an educator after graduating from the University of South Carolina, "Go Gamecocks!". I have taught many different grade levels over the past 29 years. Ten years ago I decided to get my Masters degree in Library and information Science, as Reading/Books are my passion. I have been working in the elementary school as a media specialist for 10 years. The past 8 years I have been working on creating my ideas for all the "Cricket and Izzy" books.

I am inspired by the children I teach. My pups ignite my imagination. I hope with each book, readers find fun in the rhythmic style, crayon type illustrations, and life lessons which i thread inconspicuously through the text!
