Carol K. Howell

Carol K. Howell, a 1985 graduate of the Iowa Writers' Workshop, has published over 60 stories in literary magazines and anthologies, including Epoch, New Orleans Review, Story/Quarterly, The North American Review, and Crazyhorse, written two novels on her own--one about Jewish witches in New Orleans and another about psychics and the Holocaust, 3 novellas, and an award winning story collection --as well as 3 additional novels with her writing partner, Sheila Hollihan-Elliot. After spending 30 years teaching college writing courses, she now leads public workshops and provides coaching and editing for individual writers. A trained dramatist and speaker, she is available for readings, book club online programs, and conference events.
