Renee Gibbons is an author, educator, and advocate for personal and spiritual growth. Her book: No Longer Your Doormat: A Practical Guide for Releasing Doormat Behaviors is based on her lived experience and the transformation and healing to assert her voice, shut down disrespect, and set bold boundaries.
For over fifteen years, she created and facilitated leadership and professional development programs across federal and nonprofit sectors, helping hundreds build confidence, sharpen skills, and lead with purpose.
She has been leading Women’s Life Groups at Zion Church for more than a decade, offering faith-based encouragement and practical wisdom.
In addition, she serves as adjunct faculty at Prince George’s Community College, empowering adult learners through accessible, growth-centered in-struction. Her Brain Fitness Fun and Games class uses many of the brain activities outlined her book: 1,001 Brain Games and Activities to Keep Your Mind Active and Alert. It ranks among one of the most popular classes for seniors 60+.
Now retired from full-time service, she devotes her time to writing, teaching, and community building. She lives in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, with her husband.
