I am Ralph Greco, aka Redwulf Dancingbare, author of "Waiting on the Monsoons for His Desert Soul" published by Four Windows Press in September of 2020. I grew up as a closeted gay youth on a farm in Western Pa. I blew up my college-set life to seek adventure, love, and a meaning that was of my own authenticity. Laced throughout this book are poems offering unique, sometimes gritty, and often humorous instances of life's intensity- from the immense pleasures to the unimaginable sorrows. Weaved throughout are peeks into my challenging/crazy/lovely life, including poems offering wisdom resulting from stints as a circus clown, roustabout, publicity manager, and animal tender of a touring circus, as a steward of a radical faerie sanctuary, as a Unitarian Universalist Lay-Minister performing same sex unions , as a Winkte' (two-spirit) Lakota Sundancer, as an accomplished chef and baker, and as a Reiki master/psychic healer/ counselor. This book holds visceral glimpses of a journeyer and a seeker who has hitchhiked twice across this great country, biked from South Carolina to Miami Fla, and stepped on many stages as performer, author, and MC. In seeking a passion outside to match the one I had inside I have healed many of my soul wounds and I offer in this book a love for language and a desire to give words that ease the agonies of vulnerability and human suffering. Blessings to one and all!
