Dorine Andrews

Dorine developed her storytelling voice blogging about life—in Memphis Diaries, Sixties Shorties, Raghauler Journal, and Dare I.

Her inspiration for fiction writing springs from family history. A single incident can spark the creative process. In her novel, Jack's Gift, she asked, “Suppose, when my 22 year-old uncle died in WWII he left behind a relationship that would have changed the course of our family’s history?”

After a 30-year consulting career in organization and technology transformation and co-authoring two business books, Dorine earned a doctorate in digital communications design (DCD) from the University of Baltimore. She taught at Georgetown University and at the University of Baltimore before becoming the chief information officer for the Peace Corps from 2010 to 2015.

Dorine currently lives in northern Virginia. Visit her website and blogs at www.dorineandrews.com
