Carol Kemp

Carol Kemp is a lettering artist and illustrator, who has been producing work for publishing for over 30 years.

‘The Little Asteroid’, by Nicolai Schumann, is a children’s picture book and her first book using the colourful and softly tactile techniques of felting and collage. It is the charming tale of a little asteroid who leaves his orbit to explore the Universe. The text is set in a font called Astraea, which Carol designed especially for ‘The Little Asteroid’.

She lives in East Sussex, where the stars are clearly visible in the night sky, and has two children and a dog called Barley.
