Joanna Rawbone

Joanna's passion for learning & development started when she won a place on a women's development programme sponsored by Esso back in the 1980s. That course sparked a fire that burns brightly to this day and is why her training & coaching consultancy was named Scintillo. She completed her MSC in Change Agent Skills & Strategies in 2008, embodying her motto 'Purpose + Passion trumps fear'. As her international client list grew, one thing became clear; the extraversion bias was damaging the health and wellbeing of many introverts as well as productivity in business. In 2018, Joanna founded Flourishing Introverts as a public commitment to her work enabling introverts to flourish without pretending to be something they're not. In 2019, she delivered a TEDx talk - Tackling Extraversion Bias to unlock the potential of Introverts to continue raising awareness. She has articles published in many business journals and magazines, has appeared on Business TV shows, and hosts her own weekly podcast, The Flourishing Introvert Talks. Joanna is delighted to be one of the contributing authors of the The Power of Why anthology, aimed at empowering women.
