Keonya Booker

Keonya Booker is an educator living in Charleston, SC. As a "teacher of teachers," her work focuses on the lives and identities of adolescents and young adults. She is also the author of Ones Like Us, a journey of self-discovery for Kellie, a biracial teen, who is grappling with the death of her mother and unexpected introduction to her absentee father. A second book, Just in the Mick of Time, is a story focused on the first year away at college for Michaela, Kellie's fun and fearless cousin.
