Sascha Auerbach

Dr. Sascha Auerbach is an Associate Professor of History at the University of Nottingham. He specializes in the history of race, the state, and imperialism in the nineteenth and early-twentieth centuries Dr. Auerbach’s research has appeared in a variety of scholarly journals, including the Journal of Social History, Law and History Review, the Journal of British Studies, and Comparative Studies in Society and History. He is a former Fulbright Scholar and Leverhulme Research Fellow. Dr. Auerbach is currently the Director of the Institute for the Study of Slavery (ISOS). He also regularly appears as an historical expert on The Discovery Channel, the History Channel, and Curiosity Stream.
