Sherricka Carpenter Stanley

Challenged to create a list of 100 things she wanted to "Do-Be-Have" in the Summer of 2008, Sherricka Carpenter Stanley would write for #18 on that list - "to be the author of a children's book or book of inspirational quotes". Twelve years later, she would see this vision come to pass. This wife, mother of three (& a bonus daughter) and former educator is adding the title author to her name. What some could have said was a dream deferred, Sherricka has just seen it as God's perfect timing.

In her debut book, I Fit IN Just Right!, you get to see why this passionate, life-long learner writes. She writes for her family and representation for children and people of color.

Originally from Durham, Sherricka resides in Greensboro, NC having never left after graduating from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in 1996 with a B.S. in Mathematics Education. Her Publishing Company, Wabash To Worthing Publishing, LLC, pays homage to both her roots in Durham (Wabash) and her family's roots in Greensboro (Worthing). It was definitely a dream come true and has given her the opportunity to fulfill a promise to herself..
